Hello!

I hope you won’t need to talk to me. That is, someday. Right now there are burdens you’re carrying, pains that haven’t healed, and confusion about where you fit in life. What used to work doesn’t anymore, or you’ve never quite found a solution that doesn’t itself become a problem. So right now, I do actually hope you want to talk to me. But after a while, after we work together to find a way to help you release your burdens, repair the ruptures and find peace in your world and your place in it, I hope you’ll find that all the help you need is right there inside of you.

 

I use a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic methods, working with my adult, individual clients to find what works for you to help with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, ADHD, PTSD and really, any other combination of letters you come in with. I integrate everything with Internal Family Systems (IFS), which you’ll love if you ever talk to yourself, have an inner critic or relate strongly to the emotional representation of the Inside Out movies. Our work together will be to get to know the internal and external connections in your system, make sense of it all and repair any disconnections safely in a way that’s unique to you with as many pop culture references as you allow. I also offer spiritual integration for those who choose- what matters to you, matters to me.

 

Being a counselor is at least my third career. I was an Air Force officer before a stint as a “stay at home” mom in several different countries as our foreign service family moved around the world. We’re currently in Thailand, which gives me availability to do virtual sessions in Virginia’s evening hours or daylight for those in other time zones.
