Hello!

Janis is currently a LPC student intern seeking her M.Ed. degree at William & Mary. She has experience working as a youth counselor with adolescents at a Residential Home and is open to working with individuals (adolescents and adults) and couples, either in-person or via telehealth. Janis draws from many different therapeutic approaches and combines aspects of several counseling methods with a focus on being person-centered, strengths based, trauma informed, and multi-culturally sensitive. 

Janis received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Virginia with a minor in Religious Studies. She loves learning about the unique stories that make up a person's life and hopes that the therapeutic journey can be one that is both healing and growth oriented for all who are involved.

Janis also loves spending time outdoors, watching movies, reading books, playing cozy games, or cooking/baking!
